Practice, not Perfection

In any intention, it’s easy to fall into an all-or-nothing trap.

Either I run every morning... or I always use my reusable mug…or I always separate my organics from my trash to take to the farmers market… or I don’t do it at all.

Last time I checked, I’m not a robot, and neither are you. We will never execute our plans exactly as planned 100% of the time. There are circumstances beyond our control that interrupt and even if not, we are human and incredibly fallible.

So don’t let falling off your game discourage you from playing.

What’s more, doing something when you say you’re going to do it even half the time still builds trust in yourself that you are a person who does what they say they will do. And trust in yourself is a powerful thing to harness.
